THE MEMBERS FORUM OUTLINES THE FUTURE FOR PHOTOLUMINESCENT INCLUDING ITS PRODUCTS 26/06/2013

Most members of the PSPA are interested in knowing how to grow their businesses and the Members Forum highlighted two approaches – market and product development.

Those who attended the Forum were treated to a preview of what’s coming next in the industry as six leading speakers in the field outlined their thoughts on how to push the boundaries of photoluminescent forward and fuel future growth.

Interesting market development suggestions included:

  • A world- wide standard on primary, secondary and tertiary escape routes in all buildings and facilities;
  • Selling the whole concept of a Safety Way Guidance System as part of the architectural design;
  • Targeting previously unexploited areas such as tunnels.

New product development ideas included:

  • Photoluminescent enhanced personal protection for fire-fighters;
  • Brightness meters for on- site measurement of performance;

The PSPA’s new Chairman, Mr John Creak  from Jalite Plc was both a participant and speaker at the Forum and will no doubt take many of these points on board when planning a directional strategy for the PSPA over the next 12 months.
