9.2.4.4. RECOMMENDED SUPPLEMENTARY
PHOTOLUMINESCENT EMERGENCY SIGNING

Within the escape path the following photoluminescent emergency signs should be considered an integral part of a photoluminescent wayfinding guidance system.

i) "Push" or "Pull" or "Slide to open" signs on all applicable internal corridor doors incorporating the symbols provided for in National and International Standards.
ii) "Push bar to open" or appropriate instructions to operate fire exits or exits for emergency use only.
iii) "Emergency Telephone", "First Aid" and "Emergency Equipment" photoluminescent signs located above or on cabinets containing such emergency equipment.

9.2.5. MANDATORY INSTRUCTIONS AND FIRE ACTION CHARTS
Within the escape path the following photoluminescent mandatory instructions and fire action charts should be considered an integral part of a photoluminescent wayfinding guidance system.

i) "What to do in case of fire/fire action"
ii) "What to do In case of emergency"
iii) "Fire door/Smoke door keep shut"
iv) "Fire escape/Escape route keep clear"

Such photoluminescent mandatory notices should be conspicuously placed in all escape paths.

9.2.9. FIRE FIGHTING EQUIPMENT SIGNS AND MARKERS
The location of all fire fighting equipment should be marked with the appropriate safety signs as described by current National and International Standards and Legislation and produced from photoluminescent material.

Labels giving instructions for appropriate use in photoluminescent material should be placed on all extinguishers that are sufficiently illuminated according to 6.6.

9.2.7. HAZARD WARNING SIGNS AND MARKERS
The location of all hazardous materials, installations, obstructions or specific risks should be marked with the appropriate photoluminescent hazard warning safety sign as described by current National and International Standards for Health and Safety at Work.
